About Burj

Burj Guitars is a one-person, one-instrument-at-a-time guitar project based in the United Arab Emirates.

I’m Simon - a guitarist who started building after restoring my uncle’s 1970s hollow-body guitar that had been left untouched for decades. Bringing that instrument back to life sparked something deeper: the desire to build guitars that feel personal, honest, and built to last.

Burj is intentionally small. I build one guitar at a time, putting real hours into every stage of the process — from design decisions and materials to final setup and feel. Traditional shapes and ideas influence my work, but I’m always looking for a modern twist and my own voice within them.

Continuous improvement is core to Burj. I welcome critique, because every build is an opportunity to learn, refine, and do better next time.

This isn’t about volume or trends.
It’s about building something I’m proud to leave behind.
